Sunprint [blue highlights]

This print is what we call a Sunprint Image. The idea behind sunprints was to capture sunlight much like a camera's shutter might. We were each given two sheets of highly light-sensitive paper and told to place objects upon the paper and count to 30. Once I reached 30 I quickly placed the sheet of paper into cool water, this would enable the effects of sunlight to slow down, therefore presenting an impressed image of your object. To say the very least, this became slightly more complicated and it took me several tries before I reached my desired sunprint. With my finished print I used the varying colors to bring forth a clearer picture as well as using only one object to emphasize my subject.
